Tulip Added Value has now been re-branded as Tulip Food Company (UK) in order to better reflect the make-up of the division, which consists of a series of customer-focused centres of excellence in food and innovation.

Alongside the launch of Tulip Food Company (UK), Steve Francis has announced two key appointments to the business:

Jose Peralta has been recruited to the new position of managing director of Tulip Food Company (UK) and Andrew Fisher has been appointed as operations director, Tulip Food Company (UK).

Commenting on the announcement, Steve Francis said: “On joining the Tulip organisation it quickly become clear to me that, while we remain a strong and vibrant organisation, we do need to work more effectively as a connected team, both internally and with our farmers and customers.

“I am determined to restore Tulip’s position as the pre-eminent supplier of pork and pork-based food in the UK and to achieve that I am convinced we need to return to a position where we re-empower our sites and provide them with all the support required to deliver consistently and with excellence.

“I am very excited that Jose and Andrew have agreed to join our team at such a pivotal time for the business. They both bring strong credentials to their respective roles and I have every confidence that they will prove to be valuable assets.

“Tulip is a great and respected company with a proud history. The Board and I are confident that these changes will be a springboard to us delivering a faultless Christmas for all of our customers and an exciting future as a more connected, customer and site-oriented business.”
