Freedom Foods Honey Roast Ham won Best Cured Product, whilst Freedom Foods Sliced Pork Sage and Onion Stuffing won Best Innovative Pork Product.

BPEX foodservice trade manager, Tony Goodger, said: “We were incredibly impressed with the standard of entries this year. It is fantastic to see that the sector is constantly striving to innovate and make the most of Quality Assured pork.

“The variation in product entries shows that as well as being a firm favourite with diners, pork is an incredibly versatile meat, being combined with ingredients such as stout and honey, pickled walnut and pecans. It was also nice to see that the humble pork scratching – one of favourite bar snacks – got a look in!”

“I warmly congratulate Browns Food Group on their achievements in winning 2 Gold Medals in what was an incredibly tough competition. I am sure that Sara Roberts and her team will ensure that their winning products and their customers will get a boost from having ‘award-winning’ products on their product lists and menus.”

Sara Roberts, Browns Food Group, group marketing said: “We are delighted to have been awarded such prestigious accolades for our innovation. Browns Food Group has a history of product excellence and aims to continue delivering innovative products that continue to build on our commitment to product excellence.”
