EBLEX to host influential European young meat managers’ meeting

EBLEX is hosting a meeting of YEMCO (the Young European Meat Committee) in London on May 10th and 11th 2013.

YEMCO, which is part of UECBV (the European Livestock and Meat Traders Association) is a leading ‘think tank’ of over 400 young executives and managers of European companies engaged in the meat and livestock industry. At its twice yearly conferences, YEMCO is an outstanding forum for exchanging ideas and experiences amongst existing and future industry leaders.

Phil Hadley, EBLEX senior regional manager emphasised the important opportunity this meeting represents for the British meat industry: “Younger managers from meat processing and trading businesses from throughout the UK would benefit from attending the meeting and exchanging views with their peers in other European countries.” he emphasised.

The programme includes various visits, a dinner in the Butchers’ Hall and a conference on the second day with a keynote address from Andrea Gavinelli, Head of the Animal Welfare Unit at the European Commission.
