Elmgrove Foods won the Small and Medium Sized Enterprise (SME) Exporter of the Year Award at last night’s Food and Drink Federation (FDF) Awards.

Sponsored by the Food and Drink Exporters Association, the Exporter of the Year Award celebrates companies that are entering new international markets, creating targeted products or growing sales in established markets.

Elmgrove Foods generates 100% of its sales revenue from exports to Europe, Africa and to the Far East. The management team’s great eye for new opportunities and the commitment of the company’s employees has driven major increases in sales of its unique, high quality beef, lamb and pork products over the last four years.

FDF’s Director of Economic and Commercial Services Steve Barnes said: “The FDF Awards truly are a badge of excellence and Elmgrove Foods Ltd’s success demonstrates the rewards on offer to food and drink SMEs who proactively seek export opportunities.

“Elmgrove Foods Limited was presented with the Exporter of the Year Award for its dedication to enhancing food exports. The company focuses on quality and its customers, investing in partnerships to continue its successful exports overseas. This is a great example of how investing in exports can deliver increased rates of growth in the food and drink industry.”
