Finalists revealed in search for ‘England’s Best Steak Pie’
Six finalists for ‘England’s Best Steak Pie’ 2015 competition have been revealed.
The six finalists are:
- Steak and Caramelised Onion Pie – Drewtons, Yorkshire (retail category)
- Traditional Steak Pie – M Newitt & Sons Ltd, Oxfordshire (retail category)
- Beef & Bombardier Pie – Measures Butchers, Cambridgeshire (retail category)
- Beef and Merlot Pie – Dunkleys, Northamptonshire (foodservice category)
- 12-inch Steak & Stilton Pie – Owen Taylor & Sons Ltd, Derbyshire (foodservice category)
- Stout and Black Treacle Marinated Beef Brisket & Guinness Cottage Pie – Proper Pies Ltd, Worcestershire (foodservice category)
A winner will be announced in each of the two categories for entry – retail and foodservice – and one of the category winners will be announced as the ‘Overall Winner’ at the inaugural EBLEX Quality Standard Mark Excellence Awards ceremony taking place in London, in April.
