In order to qualify for funding of up to £3,500, applicants must work in the Welsh red meat industry and demonstrate a keen interest in a particular area of study which can be investigated anywhere in the world and which could contribute to the development of the industry in Wales.

“The HCC Livestock Scholarship is an opportunity to broaden your horizons and increase your knowledge of the red meat sector beyond Wales,” Lynfa Davies, HCC’s technical development executive said.

“The red meat sector needs ambitious people of all ages to drive the industry forward in the future. These could be farmers, butchers or members of the processing sector.”

Following a trip lasting between four and six weeks, recipients of the Scholarship will be expected to report on their findings to HCC and the wider agricultural community.

The deadline for applications is 19 June 2015. For more information click here.
