Liz Truss is new Secretary of State for Environment
In the recent Cabinet reshuffle Liz Truss has replaced Owen Paterson as Secretary of State for the Environment, Food & Rural Affairs.
Truss moves from the Department of Education and is an MP in rural Norfolk following Paterson’s surprise sacking from the Government where he has been in post since September 2012. At 38 she is the youngest women to join a Conservative Cabinet.
George Eustice remains in post as Defra’s Farminig Minster for the present.
