Meat Training Council nominations are open

Nominations are now open for the Meat Training Council (MTC) and Institute of Meat (IoM) Annual Prizegiving 2014.

Colleges, training providers and employers can submit their nominations for next year’s prize giving. These awards recognise endeavour and excellence within meat industry training.

In total, there are 12 high profile awards up for grabs; each recognising learner achievement in 2013.

The awards ceremony will take place on the 25th February 2014. Last year’s event was attended by HRH Princess Anne and the MTC/IoM special guest this year will be confirmed very soon.

Awards available include

Best Meat Student in Food Industry Skills
Best Student in Retail Butchery
Best Student in Poultry Industry
Best Student Meat Industry
Best Retail Meat Apprentice
Best Meat Student for the Management Award
Best Meat Student Driving Food Manufacturing Excellence
Outstanding Meat Learner of the Year
Best Meat Manufacturing Apprentice
Best Learner in the Meat Industry
Best Company Training Scheme
Lord Graham Endeavour Award

The deadline for nominations is 18th December 2013.
