New brand identity for Birtwistles catering butchers

Birtwistles Catering Butchers, part of MJ Birtwistle & Co Food Group, has recently updated its brand identity to convey the extent of the company’s development in recent years.

Birtwistles has grown from a small, regional butcher into one of the UK’s largest catering butchers, handling in excess of 1300 orders a day from its three sites in Manchester, Milton Keynes and Glasgow.

To reflect Birtwistle’s status as a major presence in the UK catering industry, the firm consulted service agency We Are Brave to rejuvenate their brand. The work is still ongoing but includes a new logo, website, video, internal and external signage, vehicle livery, packaging, stationery, literature, emails and apparel.

Managing director Glenn Eastwood said: The core of the new brand is a celebration of everything that makes Birtwistles special. We call this the ‘Birtwistles DNA’ and it highlights how different aspects of our business including, state of the art technology, quality meat, our highly skilled butchers and our national delivery service, all come together to deliver a flexible, first class service to customers.
