  1. The Year 2023 Meat Management Meat Industry Awards will run from January 2023 until October 2023 including event review PR.
  2. The Meat Management Meat Industry Awards presentation ceremony will take place at an appropriate venue in Birmingham or London, or at another suitable alternative location, or if circumstances may require, as an online presentation.

Categories above can be changed or withdrawn at any time if deemed necessary by the organiser.

  1. Yandell Publishing Ltd., the organiser of the Meat Management Industry Awards will offer category partnership to companies and organisations servicing the meat industry at a price deemed to be fair and reasonable by the organisers. The price confirmed for the 2023 Awards programme does not indicate that future renewals will be offered at the same price or on similar terms. Companies or organisations are not allowed to partner an Award category for which they may potentially be nominated or voted for, unless agreeing to withdraw as a potential candidate for the Award category in question.
  2. Payment for category partnership will be invoiced in January 2023 with the remittance due by 1st February 2023 at the latest, or if booked after 1st February 2023, not later than 28 days from the date of formally confirming the category partnership with Yandell Publishing Ltd.
  3. Cancellation: Category partners should note that cancellation charges will apply on all occasions and in any circumstances for cancellation of category partnerships. If payment has not already been received, a full 100% non-refundable charge of the agreed category partnership total will be payable immediately to Yandell Publishing Ltd., unless cancellation notification is received by Yandell Publishing Ltd., in writing, within 14 calendar days from the date when the category partnership contract is issued.
  4. Category partners of the Year 2022 Awards will get first refusal for partnering the same category again in 2023. The deadline for decisions for the Year 2023 Awards will be 23rd September 2022. After this date the category will be offered to the open market.
  5. Voting forms for the Meat Management Industry Awards will be circulated and available to the meat industry through the website www.meatmanagement.com with a voting deadline set by the organisers as will be judged appropriate and subject to any prevailing circumstances in the market and the date of the Awards ceremony when set and advised by the organiser.
  6. Multiple Retailing / Supermarket category: for the avoidance of doubt, the minimum number of retail outlets needed to qualify and be included in potential judging after nomination is a minimum of 40 separate retail shops, and all these retail outlets must offer both fresh foods, meat, seafood and bakery products and chilled or frozen manufactured / processed foodstuffs. This category does not recognise online businesses, and is specifically for walk-in retail businesses only.
  7. Winners and finalists of category awards will normally be informed as soon as possible in writing on a Strictly Private & Confidential basis.
  8. Confirmation by the recipient of any category award that they are prepared to attend the Awards ceremony and collect the category award, or receive the award in such circumstances that a virtual ceremony is required, will be required from the recipient in writing no later than 14 days after being informed of the position by the organiser.
  9. Should any category winner not be in a position to attend the Awards ceremony or fail to formally confirm that they will accept the Award within 14 days of being notified; the Publisher of Meat Management has, at his absolute discretion, the right to rescind the Award and pass it on to the first runner-up / finalist in the category concerned. Information provided by Meat Management magazine to award winners and finalists in advance of the awards dinner is strictly private and confidential and may not be divulged to any third party prior to the award being presented. Any breach of this confidentiality may result in the award being rescinded at the absolute discretion of the Publisher.
  10. A winner’s award will only be presented to a category winner if the business or company nominated is trading at the time of the awards ceremony and not in administration or if it has ceased trading. In such circumstances the award will go to the next runner-up.
  11. Photographs and videos will be taken or used for the Awards ceremony or event for publicity purposes, which may be used either during the event / ceremony or over the post-event / ceremony period. By attending the event as a visitor or being involved and a participant via the internet, consent to use any images of attendees or participants for promotional purposes by Yandell Media Group is implied. Such promotional use may include magazines, promotion literature, advertising, galleries, video coverage, social media, websites and poster artwork, and any other medium deemed appropriate by the organisers. Note: Those involved with the event / ceremony are able to contact Yandell Media Group or YPL Exhibitions & Events in writing and apply to withdraw consent at any time.
  12. All special guests, presenters and performers appear subject to professional work commitments and the line-up is subject to change without notice. No refunds will be given if the advertised line-up changes or does not appear.
  13. Award partners will receive a free table for 8 persons at the awards ceremony dinner (or lunch) unless the event is transferred to an online event created by prevailing circumstances, and as part of the partner package commits to attend the ceremony dinner / lunch to present the award for the category agreed, or if required to be filmed in advance for the award presentations and any announcements broadcast via the internet if required. The Awards partner accepts this obligation when contracting to the Awards and accepts that in the event of non-attendance of a physical ceremony, no credit or refund will be made by Meat Management magazine or Yandell Publishing Ltd., as a result of such physical non-attendance for any reason.
  14. The organisers of the awards ceremony dinner or lunch reserve the absolute right to refuse admission to the ceremony if staged as a physical event without explanation. Correspondence will not be entered into. Competitive media to Meat Management magazine or its portfolio of publications and media products are not permitted to attend the Awards ceremony.
  15. In the event of a communicable disease including a viral infection or pandemic and / or any resultant official warning or instructions to prevent the assembly of people at a given place or at a given time, or any restrictions following any recommendation or legislation by the World Health Organisation or UK government that public events may not be staged or can proceed, the organisers are not responsible for any consequential loss should its own event or events or exhibitions be affected, postponed or cancelled, and the organiser will not refund deposits and / or any other payments or deposits either paid, accrued, pending or which are due for payment, or contracted to be paid at a future date. Customers of the organiser who are partners, sponsors, advertisers and / or exhibitors, should ensure that their own event insurance adequately covers them for such eventualities or circumstances, as the organiser will not be found liable for repayments or damages or any consequential loss in such prevailing circumstances.
  16. As part of this agreement, the category sponsor or partner of the event, authorise Yandell Media Group and its subsidiary companies or trading divisions to hold its company or personal information on database and, as required, to share personal or company information with third-party organisations such as the printer of catalogues or menus, publications promoting the event or events, website designers, internet providers, mailing houses, awards venues, IT and AV providers and any other professional companies that Yandell Media Group or its subsidiaries and trading divisions deem it necessary to work with in the course of normal business.   17. The details of the category winners will not be announced until the Awards ceremony at a date to be advertised. The winners of the Awards are required to maintain the Private & Confidential status of the Awards until after the formal presentations are completed.
  18. An Awards brochure confirming the winners of the Year 2023 Awards will be published and circulated within an appropriate 2023 edition of Meat Management magazine or within any other edition if felt to be more appropriate by the organiser or publisher. This magazine will also detail the partners / sponsors of the award categories. Advertising opportunities will be made available to both winners and finalists (on a strictly private & confidential basis), and Award partners, or any business or organisations, who in the opinion of the publisher, is suitable for inclusion in this publication. All advertising bookings are subject to the normal terms and conditions of acceptance for advertising bookings for Meat Management magazine. A copy of these Terms & Conditions are available upon request and available to view at www.yandellmedia.com. Following any physical ceremony a picture round-up of the Awards presentations will normally appear in the September or October 2023 issue of Meat Management magazine, although the publisher reserves the right to publish these pictures in any edition or magazine or website felt to be appropriate in addition or as an alternative.
  19. Voting for the Year 2023 Meat Management Industry Awards is not open to employees of Meat Management Magazine or their families or to employees of Yandell Publishing Limited, or their families.
  20. Voting can only be undertaken by bona-fide meat industry professionals. Voting opportunities will not be offered to generic trade businesses or organisations. Only one vote per individual person will be accepted. Self-nomination is not permitted on most of the categories, please refer to the appropriate category online for more specific information.
  21. If for any reason the publisher of Meat Management magazine has reason to believe that any form of ‘vote rigging’ or manipulation of voting is being attempted, the publisher has the absolute right, at his discretion, to disqualify the votes in question.
  22. Details of all votes and voters or those who nominate candidates or companies, or products, will be kept private & confidential and names and addresses of voters or how they voted will not be disclosed for any reason. The voting procedure is subject to the provisions of the Data Protection Act and General Data Protection Regulations.
  23. In the event of a tie, the casting votes for the Excellence Award and the Young Manager of the Year Award will be with the chairman of the judging panel.
  24. The organisers reserve the right, without prior notice, to revise or change the date of the Awards Ceremony and any Awards Lunch or Dinner, the location of the Awards Ceremony and any Awards Lunch or Dinner, and the nature and format of the event at any time, at their full discretion. In such circumstances the organisers will inform the Partner or Sponsor or any participants in writing of any changes that the organisers believe to be appropriate to facilitate the successful conclusion of the Awards or promotional programme. If the organiser gives such notice to the Partner or Sponsor or Participant, the organiser shall be entitled to retain all monies paid to the organiser prior to issuing such notice and to seek immediate payment of all monies due to the organiser from the Partner or Sponsor or participant.
  25. Ceremony dinner or lunch tickets, where available, are sold on a first come first served basis and are subject to ongoing availability. Cancellations for tickets are subject to an administration fee of 35 per cent of the total cost and refunds are not available should bookings be cancelled after 7th July 2023.
  26. Tickets purchased, or provided as part of a partnership or sponsorship package, must not be re-sold in any circumstances and are not transferrable.

  28. In relation to all rules and regulations covering the Year 2023 Awards and the Awards ceremony, the publisher’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  29. 2024 Ceremony and Promotion: The pending and updated terms and conditions for the year 2024 will be published shortly after the 2023 ceremony takes place and is completed in November 2023.
