Interfood Technology team to take part in charity challenge

The coming weekend will see four members from the team at Interfood Technology take part in a charity challenge in order to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Rob Unwin, James Wells, Tom Foran and John O’Hara from Interfood Technology.

Rob Unwin, James Wells, Tom Foran and John O’Hara from Interfood Technology will be competing under the team name ‘Interfood…..not fitness’ in the biannual Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge in the Lake District town of Keswick.

They will be raising money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. Based in Camberley, the charity has helped to grant over 11,000 ‘wishes’ since they started in 1986.

The team of four will compete in the ‘Super Tough’ category of the adventure race, which consists of challenges on foot, bicycle and canoe.

The section on foot is 9km long, the canoe section has a maximum length of 12km, and the bike route is 37km long with a maximum height gain of 990m.

There will also be a few challenges thrown in along the way that will test the Interfood Technology team’s strength, fitness and stamina.

Those interested in donating towards the cause can do so by making a donation on the Just Giving Page here.
