Reaction to UK Sausage Week continues to grow

A myriad of companies have contacted the organisers of UK Sausage Week for posters and artwork to get behind the 2017 campaign, which runs from 30th October to 5th November.

The best two sausages in 13 categories covering traditional and innovative types will be recognised during a celebration lunch on 30th October at Plaisterers’ Hall, London, one of the most prestigious venues in the city, attended by all the competition winners and UK Sausage Week partners.

Over 400 entries were evaluated recently at The Regional Food Academy at Harper Adams University.

Twenty six certificates are being presented on the day, plus a trophy and certificate to the UK Sausage Week Supreme Champion.

Event organiser, Emma Cash, was enthusiastic about the celebration lunch that will launch the initiative on 30th October commenting: “We are looking forward to a splendid event where we will recognise the best sausages across the UK and celebrate the great British banger in style.

“We are also welcoming this year’s UK Sausage Week ambassador and TV personality Eric Knowles, from the Antiques Roadshow, who will present the winning retailers and manufacturers with their awards and I am sure have a few anecdotes to share with lunch guests.”
