Sausage survey launched ahead of UK Sausage Week

Ahead of UK Sausage Week, which runs from 30th October to 5th November, the Q Guild of Butchers has created an online survey to discover consumers’ thoughts “on all things sausage related”.

The short survey could give butchers a better idea of how consumers buy sausages, what are their preferred outlets and what type of sausages they tend to buy.

In addition, it asks for information such as how many sausages consumers eat in one sitting, how often they eat sausages and what condiments they prefer to enjoy with them.

The poll will also drum up some excitement ahead of UK Sausage Week, which is set to celebrate the country’s best bangers.

To share the survey with customers and family, or to participate in it yourself, visit www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/6TX57TP.

With sausages being an important part of business for both butchers and manufacturers, UK Sausage Week is exceptionally positioned to boost sales this year.

The campaign has already asked for companies to share their favourite sausage recipes, which can be now be downloaded and shared with customers at www.uksausageweek.com/recipes.

In addition, the week offers an excellent marketing opportunity, with a dedicated UK Sausage Week poster also available to download at www.uksausageweek.com as well as logos which can be printed as labels, and plenty of tips.

Plenty more ideas and inspiration for companies looking to participate in the week can be found in Meat Management magazine’s official UK Sausage Week Preview (page 29 to 56).

Tickets and tables for UK Sausage Week’s celebration lunch, on 30th October at Plaisterers’ Hall, London, can be booked online using the form here or, for further information, contact Emma Cash on emma.c@yandellmedia.com or call on 01908 613323.
