2 Sisters hands over Suffolk poultry production to 1Stop Halal
2 Sisters Food Group’s chicken processing plant in Eye, Suffolk is to be handed over to 1Stop Halal, a provider of halal poultry products, based in Scotland.
The transfer will take place in July and a spokeswoman for 2 Sisters, reported in The East Anglian Daily Times, said: “Following a strategic review of our poultry processing manufacturing footprint in the UK, the business can announce it is proposing a transfer of the operations at its site in Eye, Suffolk, to another party.
“Existing employees at the site will be TUPE-transferred to this new business in due course.
“We will, of course, maintain a regular dialogue with all our colleagues to inform them of the handover process and timescales.”
