A Pork Farms treat for the New Zealand All Blacks
Pork Farms, one of the UK’s leading pork pie manufacturers has created a special layered version of their traditional pork pie for Rugby World Cup finalists, the New Zealand All Blacks.
After hearing that the players from New Zealand’s national rugby union squad were fans of the British pork pie, the company’s chefs came up with a layered pork pie, consisting of layers of traditional pork pie meat, a layer of chicken marinated in mustard and a layer of honey roasted ham. The pork pie was in the shape of a rugby ball – complete with silver ferns, the team’s emblem.
Kim Burgess, head of markets for the Addo Food Group who own Pork Farms said: “We are delighted that the All Blacks love [the pork pie] as much as we do so we had to send them Britain’s Favourite Pork Pie from Pork Farms.”
