After hearing that the players from New Zealand’s national rugby union squad were fans of the British pork pie, the company’s chefs came up with a layered pork pie, consisting of layers of traditional pork pie meat, a layer of chicken marinated in mustard and a layer of honey roasted ham. The pork pie was in the shape of a rugby ball – complete with silver ferns, the team’s emblem.

Kim Burgess, head of markets for the Addo Food Group who own Pork Farms said: “We are delighted that the All Blacks love [the pork pie] as much as we do so we had to send them Britain’s Favourite Pork Pie from Pork Farms.”
