ABP UK and Leeds City College have been in partnership since 2014, offering students experience in the meat and supply chain industry. Since last October, ABP has employed three students from Leeds City College and helped several of its students achieve their level two and three butchery apprenticeships.Mandy Thompson, graduate recruitment at ABP, said: “The ongoing partnership between ABP and Leeds City College has been instrumental in helping young people find their feet in the industry. There are a huge variety of roles available within the company and students aren’t always aware of the roles on offer. Guest lectures and demonstrations allow us to explain how their academic studies can help them to build a career in this industry and the practical experience we can offer is invaluable to them.”
