Anuga showcase for quality assured beef and lamb

EBLEX will be showcasing the benefits of quality assured beef and lamb to a global audience at Anuga 2013 next month.

The EBLEX stand at the show, which is one of the major events in the international food trade calendar, will give visitors the opportunity to find out more about sustainable beef and lamb produced from a rain-fed pasture system like that widely used in England, as well as giving them the chance to sample a range of products.

Throughout the event, which runs from 5th to 9th October in Cologne, Germany, a range of EBLEX experts will be on hand to offer information about quality assured beef and lamb, covering everything from production systems to cooking techniques.

Visitors to the stand will be able to see examples of new cuts developed by EBLEX using the latest butchery techniques, such as the flat iron steak and the lamb spatchcock shoulder. A different menu will be demonstrated on the stand each day, including innovative dishes such as lamb chump with tabouleh and mint yoghurt and beefsteak on paprika and onion ragout.

A number of exporters will have individual areas on the stand, with others using it as a meeting area, all of whom will be keen to strengthen existing relationships and form new ones.

EBLEX assistant export manager, Susana Morris, said: “Beef and lamb exports from England have proved a major success story in recent years, as countries around the world are increasingly appreciating the quality and versatility of our product.

“Anuga will offer us the opportunity to build on our reputation and give even more people the chance to taste our products for themselves.”

EBLEX can be found at stand number 050 and 051 in hall 6.1 at Anuga 2013, which takes place at the Koelnmesse from 5th to 9th October.
