BDCI offers bursaries to students looking to break into meat and livestock industry

The Butchers’ and Drovers’ Charitable Institution (BDCI) is providing bursaries worth up to £5,000 per year for full time Harper Adams University students.

The BDCI Bursary is open to all first and second year BSc or FdSc undergraduates and postgraduates studying for PgC, PgD or MSc courses. To be eligible for the bursary, courses must have direct relevance for a future career in the meat and livestock industry.

Ted Hoefling, BDCI treasurer said: “We hope they (the bursaries) will help students who can make a difference in the industry.”

Bob Bansback, visiting professor in Agricultural Economics, added: “It’s great news that the BDCI has come to Harper Adams for its student bursary.”

The deadline for applications is 12.00pm on 15th June.
