BPEX and EBLEX are joining forces to take part in SIAL China, the largest food show in the country with 2,500 exhibitors.

The event is held in Shanghai from May 13th to 15th and attracts some 45,000 trade visitors.

The British stand will have half a dozen red meat exporters on it covering beef, pork and lamb.

BPEX and EBLEX export manager Jean-Pierre Garnier said: “This forms part of our trade development programme in China which includes the presence at four food exhibitions this year. It is a truly huge market and there is tremendous scope for all red meats.

“We are also pleased to report that our meats are increasingly sought after for their quality. This is important as no less than twelve national meat pavilions will compete for trade at the show.”

The week following SIAL, BPEX is sponsoring the British pavilion being held at CAHE in Qingdao, the country’s largest livestock and poultry exhibition, organised by the Chinese Animal Agriculture Association.
