Butchers' Hall in London has seen a surge of bookings since promoting its popular carvery lunches, as it looks towards reopening in June.

No sooner had the first post-lockdown roast beef lunch date been announced, it sold out, creating a waiting list for places.

Ten dates, to the end of November, have subsequently been announced and such is the demand that waiting lists now apply for nearly all of them. More dates are regularly being added and information about bookings can be found on the carvery lunch page of the website. The lunches are open to all.

It comes after Bovingdons Catering was announced as the new venue management partner at Butchers' Hall, which is located in Smithfield and is home to the Worshipful Company of Butchers (WCB).

Andrew Parker, Master of the WCB, said: "Our famous carvery lunch is loved by all and we're excited to welcome all to Butchers' Hall to share the fellowship we're very proud of. And of course, the roast beef."

The WCB is planning a return to its monthly court lunches this summer.
