Easy Eats UK Ltd has recalled its chicken tikka sandwiches, wraps and fillers due to the possible presence of salmonella in the tikka powder ingredient used in manufacture.

The recall specifically refers to Easy Eats’ chicken tikka sandwiches with a use-by date of 15th February 2016, and its chicken tikka wraps and chicken tikka filler pots with use by dates of 8th February 2016.

The company has displayed point-of-sale recall notices in stores selling these products.

In its statement Easy Eats UK Ltd said: “During routine testing we have detected a serious microbiological problem in an ingredients used in our chicken tikka products. Because of potential health concerns customers should not consume the affected products”.

Customers who have purchased the products can return them to stores for a full refund.

No other varieties are affected by this recall.
