Farmison and Co signs up a ‘meat ambassador’

Farmison & Co, the online sustainable meat retailer, has signed Michelin-starred chef Shaun Rankin as an ‘eat better meat ambassador.’

Michelin-star chef, Shaun Rankin.

Originally from Yorkshire, Shaun is working with Ripon-based Farmison & Co to develop new products and recipes that use its high-quality meat from hand-picked farms across the north of England.

Its first Grantley Hall collection launched recently. The collection features over 30 items including dry aged côte de bœuf, dry aged pork belly and wild venison and dry aged lamb shoulder.

A former British Chef of the Year, Shaun has held a Michelin star since 2005 and is food and beverage consultant to Grantley Hall in North Yorkshire, just a few miles from Farmison & Co’s Ripon headquarters.

As a brand ambassador, Shaun will work closely with Farmison & Co’s in-house executive development chef Jeff Baker on a new co-branded addition to the Saucepan Ready range of dishes. He will also work with the new product development team on co-branded limited edition seasonal products.

Farmison & Co founder John Pallagi said: “We’re very proud to have Shaun joining our team as an ‘eat better meat’ ambassador. It’s a real feather in our cap to have a chef of his calibre working with us and we’re looking forward to seeing his ideas for the wonderful meat our farmers supply.”

Shaun Rankin said: “I’m very proud to be ambassador for a great Yorkshire brand and can’t wait to start working with Jeff Baker and the rest of the team and their farmers.”
