The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has published a revised version of its Meat Industry Guidance, following a review by Agency officials, industry representatives and enforcement authorities.

The Meat Industry Guide is used to assist meat plant operators whose premises require approval and veterinary control under the European Union Food Hygiene Regulations.

The new guide has been divided into 20 chapters for easier navigation. The FSA claims the revised guide makes identification of legal requirements easier and it includes useful tips and good practice principles within each chapter.

The full guide can be found here.
