Irish Beef teams up with Patty & Bun and HG Walter

To celebrate St Patrick’s Day, Irish Beef is collaborating with Patty & Bun, the burger chain, and award-winning butcher, HG Walter, to bring foodies a grass fed Irish beef burger, the ‘Patty O’ Bun.’

The Patty O’Bun.

Throughout March, the limited-edition burger will be available across all 11 London and Brighton Patty & Bun locations.

Made with high quality cuts of Irish beef, the Patty O’ Bun includes: two aged grass fed Irish beef patties, a layer of Irish Cashel blue cheese, Guinness onions, and Patty & Bun’s bacon mayo, encased in a brioche bun.

Adam Heanan, managing director of HG Walter, and Joe Grossman, founder of Patty & Bun, worked closely together to create this St Patrick’s Day burger blend, which showcases grass fed Irish beef. The meat comes from the cattle grazing on a diet of grass, packed with nutrients, clover, and yarrow over in Ireland.

To celebrate the launch of the Patty O’ Bun, two Patty & Bun diners will have the opportunity to win a weekend getaway to Ireland. Launching on Irish Beef and Patty & Bun’s Instagram channels on the 1st of March and running throughout the month, the competition prize includes a weekend away for two to Dublin.

This initiative includes a suite of services including: team training, butchery masterclasses, national marketing campaigns, inward chef visits, and POS creation. As part of the St Patrick’s Day campaign, Irish Beef is running an incentive across all Patty & Bun locations, with the two sites selling the most Irish Beef burgers winning a prize.

Commenting on the launch of Patty O’ Bun, Donal Denvir, UK general manager, Bord Bia, said: “Irish Beef is thrilled to partner with Patty & Bun and HG Walter for this St Patrick’s Day special. The Patty O’ Bun is a celebration of the best of Irish produce, showcasing the delicious taste and quality of grass fed Irish beef and cheese. This collaboration is just one of the many ways we are working to bring the taste of Irish food to more tables across the UK.”

Joe Grossman, founder of Patty & Bun, added: “We are really excited about this partnership and to be part of Irish Beef’s St Patrick’s Day celebrations. Having worked with HG Walter from the start, we use some of the best quality, sustainable, and delicious Irish beef in our patties, so this partnership makes complete sense. We’ve worked with Adam from HG Walter to create a bespoke patty blend for the Patty O’ Bun, made using 100% grass fed Irish Beef.”
