The world’s largest beef producer, JBS, is to buy poultry processor, Agroveneto for $63.02 million. This follows the meat packer's first move into the poultry market earlier in the year when it took over the running of Frangosul assets, controlled by the French poultry business, Doux.

The deal, according to Reuters news agency means JBS will take on Agroveneto’s debts and its owners are reported to be set to receive 10 million reals of JBS shares.
