Meat Industry Invitational Golf Tournament to tee off

The Worshipful Company of Butchers will host its first Meat Industry Invitational Golf Tournament on the new course at Essendon Country Club, Hertfordshire on 6th July.

The first Meat Industry Invitational Golf Tournament tees off on 6th July.

The Livery offers a focal point for members of the meat industry with its monthly Court Lunches at Butchers’ Hall always proving popular. These often-sold-out events see professionals from all areas of the industry and beyond enjoying the fellowship and camaraderie the meat trade is famous for.

The WCB wants to extend the opportunities for great fellowship over a game of golf, by hosting the Meat Industry Invitational Golf Tournament.

Supported by Meat Management, the golf day is open to all in the meat industry and their guests.

A number of teams have already been entered and the WCB hopes many in the industry will take advantage of what promises to be a great day and which it hopes will become an annual fixture in the meat industry calendar.

Andrew Parker, Master of the Worshipful Company of Butchers told Meat Management: “We’re thrilled to be introducing this inaugural meat industry golf tournament. It provides an opportunity for our Livery Company to spread its wings to share the famous fellowship and camaraderie of Butchers’ Hall with the wonderful game of golf. We hope to see industry colleagues, old and new on the tee.”
