The Institute of Meat, the professional body for people in the meat industry, has a new website.

The aims of the Institute is to maintain, develop and establish standards, skills and technology with the meat industry. It will also provide Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for its members.

Chief executive, Keith Fisher said: “Our aims are to develop a wider awareness of the value of education and training for all people engaged in the meat industry and therefore secure a greater recognition of the value of national qualifications provided through the Meat Training Council.“We want to enhance and develop the status of members of the IoM within the meat industry, through their attainment of appropriate, relevant qualifications and development of professional attitudes.”
