The Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) is looking to recruit a pig producer to its sector advisory committee for pigs (BPEX Sector Board) and a cereals processor to its cereals and oilseeds equivalent (HGCA Sector Board).

These sector boards help AHDB staff prioritise the challenges facing each sector and develop the most appropriate strategies to meet them. They also ensure an appropriate levy rate is recommended to provide adequate funding for the work needed. There is a sector board for each of the six commodity areas represented by AHDB, with each board made up of levy payers from the sector and one or two independent members.

Applicants, who will need to be playing an active role in their sector and command the respect of their peers, will address the prospect of helping to shape the future of UK agriculture in the face of food security challenges, scientific advances and evolving markets.
