Morrisons has unveiled a Bonfire Night 12-inch sausage and a foot-long freshly baked roll to match, which will be available until 5th November, coinciding with the end of UK Sausage Week.

The retailer expects to sell around 6.5 million sausages in the run-up to Bonfire Night during the period of UK Sausage Week.

The foot-long banger is made from 100% British pork and will come at a cost of £0.85 each or two for £1.35.

The specially created extra-long rolls are available from Morrisons’ bakery at £0.50 for two.

Matthew Hunns, Morrisons butchery expert, said: “Our foot long sausage has been very popular and so to help our customers' bonfire celebrations go off with a bang(er) we are reducing the price further.”
