NFU to address EBLEX annual conference

NFU vice president Adam Quinney will outline his thoughts on the road ahead for beef and lamb production at next month’s EBLEX annual conference.

He is due to speak at the free, one-day event at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, on November 5th, when the changing face of red meat retailing in a global marketplace and opportunities in the beef and lamb sector will also come under the spotlight .

Places for the conference are going fast, with more than 150 delegates already registered to attend. It will also feature a presentation on red meat retailing from Morrisons operations manager Andrew Loftus, while Euro Quality Lambs senior director Rizvan Khalid will focus on the challenges and opportunities for the sheep sector in serving the Halal market.

Dr Phil Hadley, EBLEX southern senior regional manager and conference organiser, said: “There are still a few places available but with only three weeks to go, I would urge anyone thinking of attending to reserve their spot now.”

Question and answer sessions will also be included, with EBLEX staff on hand to discuss technical issues and demonstrate other aspects of the organisation’s work.

Places can be reserved by phoning 0870 608 6610 or email conference2013@eblex.ahdb.org.uk Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Further details can be found in the Annual Conference 2013 section of the EBLEX website www.eblex.org.uk.
