EBLEX is to host its first conference for the processing sector, specifically aimed at technical and category managers.
The event, on 26th September, takes place at the Chesford Grange Hotel in Kenilworth. Areas for discussion include the latest research outcomes on beef and lamb eating quality; packaging and waste reduction; the new revised EBLEX Quality Standard Mark standards; the latest outcomes for the EU ProSafeBeef project in relation to beef safety and changing consumer trends and buying patterns for beef and lamb.
Lunch on the day will be an opportunity to see some of the latest work of the EBLEX Trade Marketing team focussing on adding value to the carcass through the development of new cuts and sous vide cooking methods.
The speaker panel includes EBLEX’s own technical experts together with representatives from AHDB Market Intelligence, TEAGASC, Ireland and EU ProSafeBeef project and the University of Bristol.
