Quality beef, lamb and pork are to be featured at a major trade show taking place in Hong Kong from 7th to 10th May.

EBLEX and BPEX are working in conjunction with UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) and more than a dozen firms will be on a stand at HOFEX, the largest food and hospitality trade show in the Asia-Pacific region.Hong Kong is a very wealthy area and many of the products produced by those attending are at the premium end of the market.

EBLEX and BPEX export manager Jean-Pierre Garnier said: “Hong Kong is an important market for the UK – in 2011 goods worth more than £5bn were traded and there is scope for expanding that.

“As part of the show, we will be sponsoring the main cookery competition, trade receptions and, it is hoped, a visit by a Government minister.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to take quality products to an economy which is larger than that of New Zealand.”
