Treif UK hosts VIP open day for leading manufacturers

Treif UK’s demonstration and test facility in Ellesmere Port recently hosted two VIP days for leading meat processors and manufacturers to view and test an entire line using the latest pressing, slicing and packing technology on the market.

Production managers and directors from Cranswick, Tulip, Karro, ABP, Kepak Ireland and Dunbia were amongst those who visited to see an in-line press from Dantech, the latest Treif Falcon Evolution slicer and the Mondini Platformer and Trave tray sealer.

Treif’s 14,000ft2 premises has a temperature controlled Food Cutting Centre, which allows product testing to be done under real-factory conditions.

On test was a Dantech meat press ensuring that the boneless or bone-in product enters the Treif Falon Evolution slicer in a uniform shape.

Treif’s UK managing director, Arthur Pynenburg, said: “Our food cutting centre means we can demonstrate the phenomenal speed of the Falcon Evolution, up to 550 cuts a minute, for bone-in and boneless portion cutting. For boneless pressed pork loins we are getting up to nearly 99% yield.

“Our open days mean we can offer customers a good insight into the kit and our demo facility allows us to host an entire line with specialists from Mondini and Dantech on hand to answer questions everything is covered in one visit. I’ve been delighted with the response we’ve received.”
