Pork pie brand Vale of Mowbray, which dates back to 1795, has launched a new look as part of a £3 million investment.

Vale of Mowbray rebrand 1

The Yorkshire company was first founded as a brewery, before going into pork pie production at its Leeming Bar premises in 1928.

Vale of Mowbray has committed around £3 million of investment for rebranding, new product development and market research.

The range will be extended with the addition of two new mini packs in Pork and Apple, and Cheese and Pickle flavours, along with a medium Pork and Caramelised Onion Pie.

Mark Gatenby, managing director, said: “This is the biggest rebrand we have ever undertaken at Vale of Mowbray.”

He added that with new product development and environmentally friendly packaging initiatives in the pipeline, the company is confident it can “revolutionise” the ready-made pork pie industry.
