Winter promo kit aims to maximise festive sales

EBLEX Quality Standard Mark (QSM) Scheme member butchers will shortly receive a new promotional kit to help drive sales of quality assured beef and lamb during the festive season.

The new winter point-of-sale (POS) kit includes some inspirational ‘cook-in’ beef and lamb recipes, designed to encourage customers to enjoy cooking at home. Included in the kit are 200 seasonal beef and lamb recipe leaflets and 80 winter Simply recipe books.

The kit features seven key cuts which are perfectly suited to celebrations and entertaining, such as the beef topside joint and lamb stuffed short saddle.

The POS kit also includes a beef poster, a lamb poster and a festive window banner to entice customers into member’s shops. A Christmas opening times poster is also included in the kit, to clearly notify customers about adjusted opening hours.

Mike Whittemore, head of trade marketing for EBLEX, said: “The EBLEX winter point-of-sale kit has been developed especially for our QSM member butchers. The seasonal recipe ideas, featured in the leaflets and Simply book, are designed to inspire customers to try something new and therefore boost sales of beef and lamb during the traditional turkey eating season.”
