The 2024 Meat Management Industry Awards ceremony and black-tie dinner will return on Thursday 19th September to celebrate the industry’s top people, companies and products.

The annual awards will take place at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, adjacent to the NEC, and will be hosted by England rugby legend, broadcaster and actor Martin Bayfield.

Martin is a sought after speaker who previously represented England and British Lions at international level and also participated in TV’s Celebrity MasterChef, reaching the finals after continuously impressing judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace with his imaginative dishes and culinary knowledge. Martin also performed as the body and stunt double of half-giant Rubeus Hagrid in the hugely successful Harry Potter film series.

This year’s ceremony will be presented by Martin alongside Meat Management publisher Graham Yandell MBE, with the evening culminating in the announcement of the prestigious Meat Management Excellence Award winner. No winners are pre-informed.

Graham Yandell said: “We are so pleased to welcome Martin Bayfield as our celebrity guest - he is a funny and engaging speaker and sure to do a fantastic job presenting the awards alongside our various category partners who announce the individual category winners.

“This is a very special occasion which highlights and rewards outstanding talent across all areas of the UK meat industry.

“There is still time to book tickets or a table and I know we are in for another outstanding occasion and look forward to seeing many old friends at this not to be missed occasion.”
