CoolKit reports revenue growth of 46%

Burnley-based refrigerated vehicle specialist, CoolKit, has announced that its revenues grew by 46% in 2016, reaching £10 million for the first time since it was established in 2005.

CoolKitLast year CoolKit, which has recorded year-on-year revenue growth of nearly 40% for the past six years, relocated to new premises which trebled the company’s manufacturing operations to a 45,000 square foot area. The company can now host up to 30 fridge van conversions at any one time.

CoolKit has also grown its staff base, with full time positions having increased 54% to 75 positions. The new roles have enabled the company to deliver its strategic focus on bringing new innovations to the industry.

CoolKit managing director, Rupert Gatty, commented: “Our 2015 investment of £2 million in machinery, premises and infrastructure is reflected in this outstanding performance. It is to the credit of the superb team of people here that we find ourselves in an enviable position.

“We expect to build on our revenues by a further one third in 2017 with more innovations that distinguish us from our competitors.”

CoolKit plans to continue to invest heavily in its research and development and will work closely with local schools, colleges and universities to grow its future workforce and help to create jobs in the local area.

The company also has plans to introduce new products in 2017 and develop further strategic partnerships with industry suppliers.
