The 2012 Q Guild Smithfield Awards supreme champion will be catering for its peers at this year’s awards lunch.
Last year’s overall diamond award winner, Porchetta Pork Roast, from Corry’s Butchers in Bramall, Stockport, run by husband and wife Neil and Janice Corry, will be served up as the main course at the 2013 awards luncheon this Wednesday in the Butchers Hall in Smithfield, London.
Of the multiple gold award winners in the Smithfield Awards, an annual national product evaluation showcase contested by Q Guild butchers nationwide, top-ranking diamond awards will be presented to the best in each of the eight product categories, from whom an overall Smithfield Awards supreme champion will again emerge.
Awards will be handed over by celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli.
