Gressingham Foods invests in packaging

With environmental impact now a top priority for the food industry, Gressingham Foods has invested in new packaging development aimed to reduce its carbon footprint and overall impact on the environment.

Gressingham said its new packaging, which has been developed in collaboration with Coveris and Ravenwood, allows the brand to save over 24 tonnes of waste material a year and reduce its carbon emmissions by 3,400.96kg of CO2 per year.

As one of the only independent brands in the meat, fish and poultry aisle, Gressingham’s new linerless labels mimic the appearance of its former sleeve packaging as much as possible in order to retain its brand recognition and shelf appeal, whilst looking to prove that more eco-friendly packaging changes can be achieved in the sector.
