Gordon King, the executive manager of Scottish Craft Butchers, was honoured at the dinner for his “unwavering dedication to training apprentices and advancing Scotland’s butchery sector”.
He commented: “I am delighted to receive this award, and these results are especially rewarding because both Marshalls and Puddledub butchers are based in Scotland and are relatively young businesses on steep learning curves. They’ve created award-winning butcheries recognised for exceptional product quality, environmental responsibility, customer service, skills, and overall shop experience.”
The winners were selected following mystery shopping visits to all finalists, which evaluated everything from product quality to customer experience.
