Have your say at EBLEX’s annual conference

Demand has been strong for places at this year’s EBLEX annual conference which will showcase opportunities for beef and lamb in a changing global marketplace and include opportunity to question the executive.

The event, in Warwickshire on October 30th, will bring together industry stakeholders and levy payers to discuss issues and identify ways of capitalising on trade opportunities.

Beef and Lamb All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) chairman and former farmer Neil Parish MP is due to speak on the government’s role in agriculture. EBLEX sector director, Nick Allen, and head of trade development, Peter Hardwick, will examine the opportunities for beef and lamb, while livestock and climate change will come under the spotlight from EBLEX industry development manager, Chris Lloyd.

Dr Phil Hadley, EBLEX senior regional manager and event organiser, said: “Interest in our annual conference is again strong. My advice would be if you are planning to attend, reserve your place now, rather than leaving it to the last minute.”

The conference, free to EBLEX levy payers, will also include question and answer sessions, with EBLEX staff on hand to discuss technical issues and demonstrate other aspects of the organisation’s work.

Places can be reserved by phoning 0870 608 6610 or emailing conference2012@eblex.ahdb.org.uk. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Further details can be found in the Annual Conference 2012 section of the EBLEX website www.eblex.org.uk
