According to RTÉ News / Ireland meat trader, Martin McAdam has instigated legal proceedings against the ABP Group for defamation.

McAdams Foods was caught up in the horse meat scandal when, according to Martin McAdam, ABP defamed his business by accusing it of supplying adulterated meat products to the Silvercrest processing plant, which was then owned by ABP.
