Meat awards entries set to beat all records

Meat awards entries set to beat all records

The annual 2022 Meat Management Industry Awards programme is now in full swing and organisers report very substantial interest in both voting and product nominations.

The annual initiative is the biggest event in the UK meat trade calendar and often attracts up to 1,000 product entries from manufacturers, processors, foodservice and retailers, from right across the industry.

This year, the much-anticipated awards ceremony and black-tie dinner takes place on Thursday 15th September at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole. Organiser Sharon Yandell commented: “We already have over 300 guests booked for the September event with 6-months still to go and therefore it seems we are set for a sell-out occasion. This is the most important networking event in the meat industry calendar and it is also a great celebration of all that is positive.

“We will be announcing our guest host for the dinner soon and if all goes to plan I can promise everyone a great night and lots of fun.

“The main thing now is to nominate products or to vote. It’s quick, free and very straightforward, and of course don’t forget to reserve tables and tickets for 15th September to be part of this important industry event.”

Once nominations for the Young Manager Award are finalised, a shortlist of candidates will be interviewed by a judging panel ahead of the ceremony in September.

Sharon Yandell concluded: “The Meat Management Meat Industry Awards will once again champion excellence and celebrate the determination of those driving the sector forward. This annual initiative recognises the best manufacturers and producers, suppliers, retailers, individuals and organisations in the UK meat industry today, and as always we are very proud to stage such a successful programme and popular ceremony.”
