Meatup 2019 gathers pace

The meat industry’s own exclusive and dedicated show, Meatup, has reported growing interest in next year’s event, as more exhibitors sign up for the exhibition. Meatup will be staged at the Marshall Arena at Stadium MK in Milton Keynes during a new later autumn timing of 30th and 31st October 2019.

“This later time is a crucial factor for next year’s show,” says event organiser Emma Cash. “Our research and exhibitor feedback confirms that participants want the later date and that the traditional summer months previously used are not favoured as much by the trade. We also miss the IFFA period earlier in the year.”

The two day show now in its tenth year will feature topical seminars each day from expert speakers and various national craft competitions. The show also has the support of 20 trade and media partners, and Emma commented: “It is important to involve as many organisations and their members as possible. Momentum is growing fast”

Already signed up for the 2019 show are Handtmann, Reiser UK, Treif UK, Lucas Ingredients, Bizerba, Automatic UK Ltd, Middleton Food Products, McDonnells, J&N Food Equipment, Icertech, The Institute of Meat, NDC, Saltan, Angel Refrigeration plus a host of others.

Sales manager for Meatup Julie Bircher said: “It is very pleasing to see so many major names coming on board for next year’s show at such an early stage. The new dates later in the year have gone down very well with exhibitors and I am looking forward to a great event. The message now is book soon to get a good position!”
