Multivac UK officially opens refurbished premises
Multivac UK, provider of packaging solutions to the meat industry, showcased its newly refurbished premises to customers and media at an official inauguration event yesterday (17th March) to celebrate the £2 million modernisation programme.

Following 12 months of planning and then an eight month conversion project which began in March last year, the Swindon-based premises now include a temperature controlled product development centre, complete with a separate changing room and full hygiene facilities to enable advanced processing and packaging trials.
A further key aspect of the company’s refurbishment is the new showroom area which offers room to demonstrate Multivac’s range of packaging, inspection, labelling, processing and automation equipment.
Over 100 delegates, including Meat Management, who were in attendance at the launch event were able to see the equipment in use in demonstrations, as well as take a tour of the new facilities.
Speaking of the benefits of the new showroom, Multivac UK managing director John Lakin commented: “Visitors can view equipment and discuss initial concepts through to fully realised projects, reaping the benefit of working with a partner who can offer a range of solutions, from a single machine to fully project managed and CE-marked integrated production lines.
“Overall, these changes will have a significant impact on Multivac UK and will enable the business to invite customers across the country to visit the new facilities. Once there they can view the machinery on offer, seeing first-hand how Multivac can bring competitive advantage to their business.”
A dedicated practical training area and classroom, complete with audio-video technology, new offices, new customer meeting rooms and a test kitchen have also been added as part of the refurbishment.
At the launch event, Lakin concluded: “Here we are building the foundation for our ambitious growth plans and today was a chance to show off what we’re capable of doing.”
