New board member at BPEX

A new member has been appointed to the BPEX board following the resignation of Steve Francis.

Barry Lock is the agricultural director of Vion and has been with the company for more than 20 years.
He is in charge of managing both pig production and the abattoir and processing side of the business. He is also chairman of the British Meat Processors Association Pigs Committee.

BPEX Chairman Stewart Houston said: “I would like to thank Steve for the work he put in as a member and welcome Barry to the Board.

“He has a great deal of experience covering many different aspects of the industry and that experience will be invaluable as we are facing challenging times.”
