CoolKit had agreed to sponsor Roberts for the work, which saw him and his 16-year-old daughter Maddie teach children English, along with various other projects.

He noted: “We had a life changing experience. We worked hard whilst we were there in 37 degree heat, lived and ate in a remote Ugandan village, danced with the kids and made some lasting friendship. Every one of us would go back tomorrow!”

Maddie and her friend William Towneley helped raise £2,500 towards the refurbishment and development of a school, as Bumba Foundation has built and staffed various schools, while also funding orphans and children from poor families to access schooling, since it was founded in 2011.

Roberts has helped CoolKit achieve double-digit as well as year-on-year growth in sales revenues and profits for the last four years he has been working at the company.
