An Italian supermarket in one of the UK's leading racecourse towns, Cheltenham, has started selling horse lasagne.
The Mutina Italian supermarket, owned by Steve Hampton has received several orders following requests from customers. The meat is sourced from Kezie Foods in Scotland and Hampton says he was inspired by the few years he had lived in Modena in Italy, where he had met his wife. "It started out as a laugh at first," he said, "but it has since taken off. People have actually ordered it and it does taste quite good."
