With Meatup, the only exhibition dedicated to the UK meat industry, a matter of weeks away, the show’s organiser Emma Cash spoke to Meat Management about what visitors can expect from the event.
Cash said: “The team at YPL Exhibitions is really excited as we head towards the forthcoming Meatup show. This is our fourth presentation over an eight-year period and I am personally looking forward to greeting as many readers of Meat Management as possible.
“The exhibition has great content this year and our visitors will find a modern, friendly, easy to access venue at Milton Keynes, where our exhibitors are waiting to greet them and will offer a wide range of ideas and inspiration.”
Meatup is a dedicated meat industry show which is staged every two years and offers visitors the opportunity to view the latest product launches and innovations as well as to meet industry experts face to face.
Cash says a highlight of this year’s show, taking place on 24th and 25th May at the ArenaMK in Milton Keynes, will be the craft butchery competitions and seminars. The Premier Young Butcher Competition and the National Meat Products Competition will both be staged at the show, while a number of meat experts will share their views and ideas in seminars taking place across the two days.
“Meatup is not just about the exhibitors, as important as they are, it’s also about learning, and talking with others about the challenges and opportunities we all have,” she explained.
“Our range of free seminars over the two days offer visitors an excellent choice of topical subjects and a forum to consider these subjects and talk with experts. Our craft competitions organised by the National Federation of Meat & Food Traders (NFMFT) are surely the best in the UK industry. I look forward to meeting many Meat Management readers at the show.”
