This year’s exhibitors have occupied 116,000 sq m of exhibition space across Halls 8, 9, 11 and 12, which are separated and categorised using the ‘IFFA Worlds’ concept.

The exhibition is taking place from 3rd to 8th May and has welcomed exhibitors from more than 50 countries. A total of 71% of visitors have come from outside Germany, from around 150 countries, with the top visitor nations including the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Poland, the USA, Brazil, Austria, the UK and Switzerland.

The halls, divided into “worlds”, provide orientation within the trade-fair:

  • World of Processing
  • World of Packaging
  • World of Ingredients
  • World of New Proteins
  • Worls of Skills and Sales

IFFA has also offered visitors a programme of events; at IFFA Kitchen, visitors have taken part in a discussion programme combined with live demonstrations and show cooking. IFFA Factory has presented solutions to address the shortage of skilled labour in production, and the IFFA Discovery Tours take visitors on guided tours of the exhibition.

Visitors have come from a variety of industries, including processing, food, catering, butchery and a number of supplier industries.

Herbert Dohrmann, president of the German Butchers’ Association, commented: “IFFA is a key event for the butchers’ trade. Given the challenges posed by aspects of sustainability, changing eating habits, a shortage of skilled labour and technological developments, it is essential that we invest in our butchers and sales outlets if we are to ensure a positive future.

“At the world’s leading trade fair for the meat industry, we not only find solutions to current challenges but also inspiration for innovative approaches to production and sales. The trade fair is a place for exchanging ideas and information, networking and sharing experiences with colleagues.”

Prominent themes of the 2025 exhibition include automation and sustainability, as exhibitors have looked to provide solutions to labour shortages and help businesses reach their sustainability goals.
